Words that continue to be left in my mind

I attended a funeral yesterday for the first time. Although I hadn't been close to the person who had departed, I couldn't help but feel overwhelming grief for his passing. He had departed to join his wife, leaving his ten year old son behind. He was young yet he had passed away so early, making me realize that life really is short. The man who had spoken at his funeral said "Although there is an order when we enter this life, there is no order when we leave" These are the words that left an indelible impression on me as I listened to his eulogy. It was true, there is no order when we leave. For this reason, we must continue to live each day as if we were to pass away tomorrow. Life truly is meaningful despite the constant obstacles that we come to face and I hope to live one full of happiness and content.

Summer

I just graduated and it is the summer before I go to university for the next 4 years. There truly is nothing to do and most days I sit and doze off. I guess one may say I wrote this blog in order to pass the time that would otherwise be spent amorously or in other words "kill time." I just hope to find a meaning in life despite how young I am. I hope it'll be more than just philosophy or religion because I think life is a time of learning about yourself as well as others. It's doubtful that I truly know myself and I think life is a progressive effort in "finding myself," cliché or childish as that may sound.
